Kindergarten Social Studies

Course Description

Social Studies is an area of study in Saskatchewan’s Curriculum. The purpose of social studies is to help learners know and appreciate the past, understand the present, influence the future, and make connections between events and issues. The Social Studies program provides opportunity for learners to develop a sense of themselves as active participants in their world (personal, local, national, and global). Kindergarten learners explore the world around them. Assessment will include ongoing home assessments and submissions/communications to the DLC teacher. We are flexible and through regular communication we are willing to support families to fit the learner's voice and choice.
