Exam time can be very stressful for students, but there are some ways to help you feel less stressed and more productive.
Be prepared - One of the best ways to avoid too much stress is to be prepared. Leaving yourself enough study time will go a long way to ease your mind before a final exam. Find a way to manage your time by preparing a timetable and sticking to it in the days leading up to your exams.
Make a list - If you’re feeling overwhelmed, take it one step at a time. Make a to-do list. Sort the items and prioritize. Being able to tackle important tasks and check them off your list helps you be more efficient and productive.
Exercise - Take the time to get some air and move your muscles. Anything from running to yoga can help distract you from the stress of exam time, and moving your body boosts your mood and overall sense of well-being. Exercise can also be a great time to connect with friends during a busy time.
Take time for yourself - Give yourself some time to do something that you love like sports, drawing, or listening to music. Taking a little time for yourself will cheer you up and distract you from exam stress.
Get plenty of sleep – Pulling an all-nighter is a bad idea. You become less productive when you’re tired. Quality sleep has been shown to aid in retention of information, so try to get your eight hours in.
