Sunday October 21st was a Fantastic Day!
Even though the wind was blowing; the sun was shining, and the DLC Equine & Cow/Calf Trail Ride was a great success hosting, 17 students and their families, for a total of 35 riders! Students were given the opportunity to interact with their peers from around the province. Students travelled from Rosetown, Eston, Fiske, Strongfield, Borden, Outlook, Dalmaney, Elbow, Davidson and Kenaston to spend the day going for a ride and meeting fellow classmates. It was a great opportunity for students to learn more about their classmates and meet new friends along the way.
After the ride was over, students had the sometime to have a have hot dogs and snacks and little more time to visit with fellow students, old friends and new friends.
The success in this was not only that the students had an opportunity to interact, but their families and guardians did as well. The atmosphere of the day allowed for people around the province to interact, create new connections and valuable experiences.
I would like to thank all who made the journey to attend the ride, and to Sue and Glen Mills for hosting the ride at their home.
I am looking forward to planning another Trail Ride in different location for the Spring.
Every day is a good day to be riding horses with friends.
