My teaching experience has been teaching elementary and middle year students and working as a Resource Teacher. My focus with teaching has been through inquiry-based learning. I believe students learn when they are engaged and inquiry-based learning allows students to learn about what interests them. I am motivated by all the diverse needs and interests of learners. I am an Agvocate for Ag education because I think it is important that people know where their food comes from to develop an appreciation of the industry. I am also passionate about outdoor education!

I developed a national inquiry resource for AITC Canada that teaches students how to make informed food choices. I started up a DLC Outdoor Ed Club where we participated in a winter camping trip at Elk Ridge for our home based students.

I live on an acreage near Dundurn with my husband and two kids! We have a cabin at Emerald Lake, which our favourite place to spend time! As a family our favourite thing to do is spend time outside whether it’s going on a canoe trip, playing outside in the sand, swimming at the beach or going for quad ride!
