Learn More About Me

I was born and raised in Saskatoon and attended the University of Saskatchewan where a completed my Bachelors of Education and Bachelors of Kinesiology. I started teaching at Kenaston School in 1999. In 2008 I started teaching online courses and eventually moved into the Vice-Principal role at the DLC in the Fall of 2013.

I am married with three fabulous children who are very active and two small and yappy dogs. I love playing board games & card games, camping & travelling, hiking & biking, watching movies, doing anything with my kids and sitting with my wife on the deck drinking coffee in the mornings. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, playing and watching sports, drinking copious amounts of coffee and being outside.

I started in teaching because a really wanted to work with and coach kids in all kinds of different sports. Before I started my career as a teacher I was coaching club volleyball in Saskatoon. After a few years of coaching and really enjoying working with kids and athletes I entered into a combined Education/Kinesiology program that allowed me to learn more about coaching, training and human movement while also learning about teaching, curriculum and education at the same time.

I help coach the Senior Girls Volleyball team at Kenaston School and I volunteer as a coach on my kids sports teams when needed - usually soccer or baseball. I will also volunteer to referee volleyball and basketball and help out at community events like the Terry Fox Walk.
