Learn More About Me
My first degree is a Bachelor of Religious Education from the University of Regina. That was way back in 1984. I completed my Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from the San Diego State University in 2003. Currently I am working on my Doctorate in Education (EdD) with Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. God willing, I hope to have that completed by May 2020.
I enjoy running and I completed a marathon in 2002 and a relay marathon in 2007.
I enjoy cross country skiing.
I am a dedicated Saskatchewan Roughrider fan.
I teach because I love teaching. I started teaching piano when I was 13 years of age and I have not stopped. I am motivated by the vast amount of learning opportunities that are available to all of us. I aim to continue to learn after I get my EdD and am deciding right now which degree I will work on next. Pursuing my own learning makes me a better educator. My goals, priorities, objectives as a teacher are to support anyone who would like to learn.
In 2009, I was humbled by a parent who nominated me for the YWCA Women of Distinction Award in Education in Regina. Someone else was chosen for that award but being nominated in itself was an honour.
