When I finished my History degree, I was kicking around the idea of doing graduate work. My mother-in-law talked me into doing an after degree program in teaching, which took just a year, so I thought, okay. The next thing I know, I'm in the classroom, finding that (a) I like it and (b) I'm pretty good at it. The rest is history, which is the degree I started with.
Over the years, I've coached track, drama, and worked with a lot of kids to create a lot of music.
