Welding 10 - With Work Placement


Course Description

Learners will be introduced to the basic skills needed in the welding industry. They will study various hand tools and power tools, techniques, and career opportunities within the field. Personal and workplace safety will be an emphasis throughout the coucse.

The 25-hour work study placement will allow learners to apply their knowledge in a hands-on environment.

All learners, parents, mentors and, where appropriate, school-based administrators are encouraged to familiarize themselves with our work placement policies.

Mandatory work placement at an approved welding shop
Students are responsible for any necessary workplace attire/materials (i.e. steel-toed work boots, coveralls, etc.)
