Field Crop Production 20


Course Description

Students will cultivate their curiosity of field cropping by exploring topics related to farm safety, planning, equipment, seeding, fertilizer, integrated pest management, marketing and career exploration. The course consists of 50-60 hours of online theory with 25-50 hours intended for a work study. During the work study, students will have the chance to get their hands dirty by showcasing field cropping skills through skill videos. Students will also submit final inquiry project of their topic choice in lieu of a final exam. Face to face learning opportunities will be offered throughout the semester in the form of optional field trips.

Students will need access to machinery and facilities for the skill demonstrations. If you do not have access to these, contact the school.

This course will count as towards a P.A.A credit or elective on your transcripts.
