My time with DLC was an experience that I will never forget.

I started racing motocross when I was four years old and my dream from the very beginning was to make it to the professional ranks. At eleven years old, I was already winning National Championships in the United States as an amateur. I had such a passion for the sport and was truly motivated to take my motocross career to the next level.

My decision to enter Sun West Distance Learning allowed me to train year-round at the racing facilities in the United States. During my time there, my typical day consisted of a warm up in the gym, a few hours of training on the track, a workout, followed by a 12 mile bike ride. I would then fit in a couple hours of schoolwork.

It took a lot of dedication and hard work to do what I did, but I met the best people. I got to travel often, and learn a lot of lifelong skills along the way. Education was always very important to me and I wouldn’t have been able to follow my dreams if it weren’t for the distance learning program Sun West offers.

The class outlines were easy to follow and the teachers were extremely helpful. They responded to emails promptly and each class challenged me to think above and beyond.

Through my time with DLC, I found a new purpose to my life and it was rewarding to work towards my dreams while excelling in my studies at the same time. I’m now 18 years old, a 2 time Canadian Women’s National Champion, and planning to continue my education through University with a Business Degree.

I couldn’t be more happy with my decision to join DLC back in 2013.
