Inktober is a yearly celebration of creativity; for each day in October people across the world draw something using ink. Get it? Ink...tober?

This year some of us at the SunWest DLC have decided to take up this art challenge. We invite you to join us in this fun challenge.

We have a few tips for Inktober:

• Use what you have around; there is no need to buy expensive art supplies. That ballpoint pen will be just as handy a tool in this challenge as an expensive brush tip marker. Just make sure whatever supplies you use include ink!
• Use a prompt list to inspire you each day. Luckily, we have made a list for you! 🖤
• The challenge that requires daily attention. Try to set a time in your day and stick to it; this consistency may help you be successful.
• If there is a day you feel short on time or tired, make sure to create something. Don't overthink it or be hard on yourself. Some days you might just make something small or add to a previous drawing and this will help you keep going.
• Breathe. This challenge may feel stressful or difficult at times. Be kind to yourself. Think of this as a bit of time for yourself and the ink to get to know each other more. Remember to have fun!
