On May 10, 2018 we had 8 families join us for a day of learning at Wanuskewin Heritage Park. To begin there was a short hike to learn about the buffalo jumps and recreations of the traditional ways of life. We saw first-hand a research group who were beginning an archaeological dig! Next, the galleries and displays were interesting as we had some down time for lunch. Later, we tried out some traditional games and got to watch and learn about a family of traditional dancers. Finally, we were invited to join in the closing round dance! It was a fantastic day to get to know each other and experience hands-on learning together.
